HIBISCUS ROSE LEMONADE
Makes 6 servings
HIBISCUS ROSE ICED TEA
2 teaspoons dried edible roses*
2 teaspoons dried hibiscus*
4 cups boiling water
Raw honey
½ to 1 cup of lemon juice, either freshly squeezed or unsweetened store-bought 100% juice
Raw honey or maple syrup to taste
Optional: one sprig of mint for each glass
*If you do not have loose leaf tea, swap one teaspoon of tea leaves for one tea bag.
Make the tea: Fill a tea strainer with the dried rose and hibiscus petals. Steep in hot water for 4 to 5 minutes. Sweeten with honey or maple syrup. Allow to cool.
Once cool, add the lemon juice to your taste. Start with half a cup and increase depending on how lemony you like it to be. Serve chilled over ice. Add a sprig of mint to each glass.
