GRILLED STONE FRUIT

Grilled peaches are warm and sweet atop Greek yogurt. Fresh blackberries, basil and a drizzle of maple syrup make this a very delicious yet healthful dessert.

GRILLED STONE FRUIT

Serves 4

  • 4 peaches or nectarines

  • A mixture of blackberries, raspberries, or blueberries

  • Olive or avocado oil

  • 1 - 1.5 cups plain Greek

  • 1cup plain Greek yogurt

  • 1⁄4 cup fresh basil leaves or mint leaves

  • Grated fresh lemon peel

  • Raw honey or maple syrup

OPTIONAL ADD-INS

  • walnuts or pumpkin seeds

  • granola

  • edible flowers such as violets or nasturiums

HOW TO MAKE IT

  1. Slice the peaches in half lengthwise, remove the pit, and slice each half again lengthwise. Lightly

    brush with oil.

  2. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

  3. Place the peaches cut side down and grill until nicely marked, about 3 to 5 minutes, on each side.

  4. To serve: Spoon some yogurt onto a plate and top with the peaches and berries.

  5. Place the basil or mint leaves on top and sprinkle with a dusting of lemon peel. Drizzle with raw honey or maple syrup.
